All coaches and instructors need to have and convey a coaching philosophy, much the same as found elsewhere, as it is with card games like free poker, where it's important to learn the strategies of a master. USBC youth certified instructors likewise have a clear, set philosophy: 'Keep the ball on the lane, knock down pins and have fun!' Much can be accomplished by following this simple approach to coaching.
In private instruction, we maintain this philosophy and add to it 'to utilize all available instructional tools and bowling knowledge to assist you in developing into a better bowler, while providing a positive learning environment geared toward exceeding your expectations.'
That is our commitment to you, and we will work with you to reach your goals by providing you a friendly and comfortable setting in which to learn, providing clear, concise communication and implementing an organized, structured lesson plan based on your skill level. Our attention to detail and dedication will not fade.
Programs :: Instructor Goals
Our goals, as your private instructor/coach, are:
- To demonstrate a work ethic and genuine interest that earns your respect
- To provide a positive learning environment and maintain a positive teaching approach
- To serve, in a coaching capacity primarily as an instructor, then as a trouble-shooter who will scrutinize and identify problem areas, then as an engineer who devises methods for correcting those problems and finally as a motivator who works to instill in you the desire to excell so you may reach your full potential.
- To engineer an individual style for you that promotes accuracy and consistency.
Programs :: Location
Lessons are held at Thunder Bowl located on Clubhouse Rd. in Claremore, Ok. They have provided a completely remodeled beautiful venue with which to conduct lessons.
Instruction prices include lineage, so there's no additional cost to the bowler unless they do not have their own bowling shoes.
Sessions may be held at the bowler's own bowling center if needed. Please contact us if you would like to make arrangements for a location near you.

Bowling Clinics are scheduled at various times thru out the year. These clinics are walk in general troubleshooting classes. Bowlers will receive individualized coaching, but in a group environment as the Instructor monitors several lanes simultaneously. Click here for additional information.
Learn to bowl programs are available, and very popular. The series of lessons involve the use of DVD presentations, handouts and on lane practice of learned skills as the bowler progresses through a program designed for the beginning bowler. Click here for additional information.
